CCA - A Message from Tine Hansen-Turton, Executive Director

Spring is nearly arrived in Philadelphia, and we’re all hoping the warmer temperatures aren’t far behind! As the tulips and grass begin to grow, so too are we hard at work at growing the CCA from within, by recruiting new members, developing opportunities for program development, and pursuing valuable partnerships with outside organizations.

In our last newsletter, we announced the upcoming launch of our partnership with the Healthy Trucking Association of America (HTAA). At the beginning of the month, CCA staff and several members traveled to Atlanta, GA for HTAA’s annual summit, which was a terrific success and generated a great deal of interest among trucking industry members. In early April, CCA and HTAA are jointly offering a webinar for CCA members to educate them about the ins and outs of incorporating the Department of Transportation exams and other related services into their clinics. We hope to begin offering other substantive, topical webinars on a bi-monthly basis, so stay tuned.

We are also in the midst of planning this year’s Retail Clinician Education Congress with Drug Store News. This year’s event will be held August 1-3, again in Orlando, FL. Please spread the word to your clinicians as we hope to grow last year’s attendance. The roster of speakers is nearly set and looks to be as compelling as ever.     

Thanks to everyone who made the trip to Houston in February for our Board meeting, and to RediClinic for generously hosting us! Please keep in mind our next Board meeting will be by conference call on May 12, and scheduling materials will be sent out once we get closer to the date.
